Slovenian MOD R&D: MAAT Outdoor Trainer

Panna Plus was a prime contractor of the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Slovenia in a tender for the research and development of an outdoor trainer. The company worked with Guardiaris to develop the MANPADS and Aircrew Trainer (MAAT), which provides the most comprehensive simultaneous MANPADS and aircrew training. MAAT is used to train MANPADS gunners, aircrews, MAWS operators, and electronic warfare officers simultaneously.

MAAT enables aircrew to train their response to missile detection alarms triggered by simulated missile launches. Part of an extremely rapid training cycle when used for individual or simultaneous squad training, MAAT is designed for UV detection on MAWS at up to an enviable 5 km distance.
